A Clockwork Horse walks a Clockwork Path

With this painting, I wanted to bring across the feeling of being held to one path, due to your nature and regardless of alternatives. However I used clockwork and flat trees to indicate this is something artificial or fake.

Mixed media

Working with newspaper backgrounds again, I was looking for a much flatter feel for this painting.

Horse

The horse has wings, but can’t use them due to the clockwork. It possesses the way to escape, but the use of this is out of its hands (hooves?) for the moment.
